Community safety and site closure
The service may be closed if it is over-subscribed or for other safety considerations.
If a Code Red Fire Danger Rating has been declared in the area on the day of a collection, the event will be rescheduled. For fire warnings call the Victorian Bushfire Information Line on 1800 240 667 or visit the Country Fire Authority website.
If the mobile disposal service is cancelled due to a Code Red day, Sustainability Victoria will work with the relevant council to reschedule the service.

Any of the products in the list below can be taken to Detox Your Home mobile collections.
Products accepted at permanent drop-off sites, in particular paint, will not be accepted at mobile collections.

- Transmission fluid
- Wood preservatives & finishes (timber coatings, oils & varnish)
Products you find around your home labelled with the following symbols will also be accepted at mobile collections:
There is no restriction on the number or volume of household products that you can bring, however containers larger than 20 litres or 20 kg will not be accepted.
Decanting is not permitted.
- Retain original labels on containers.
- For unlabelled containers with known contents – please label if possible.
- If you're not sure of the contents, label the container 'unknown contents'.
